Last year's International Emmy best actress nominee, Angel Locsin, attracts over one million fans on her official Facebook fanpage. Currently, the official page has 1,036,266 fans on the world's no.1 networking website Facebook. Note that this page is managed by fans and not personally updated by Angel.

As mentioned in my earlier blog, fans of Angel Locsin felt closer to her recently through Twitter, where we can directly send her messages and requests. Despite of Angel's several months' absence from the television, her fans were able to obtain update about her tweets and of her celebrity friends. But angels (Angel's fans) are sad to note her latest tweet:

I do hope that after taking a time out, Angel will send tweets again because there much much more people who love her tweets. Thanks to Twitter, we get to follow Angel's activities closely than ever. Let me share what I found when I tried reading her past tweets along with her friends.
On the night of 23rd of December, Angel had a slumber party with Maxene Magalona, Bubbles Paraiso, and Madeliene Humphries (Carla). I believe these friends help also Angel actively with her Shop and Share project. Thanks to Maxene Magalona for sharing this picture in Twitter where they were wearing identical sleepwear provided by Angel. It looks like Angel is an early riser because her friend tweeted that Angel was their alarm clock. Bubble's tweeted also the Slumber party of Calamanci Inc. (CI), the name of their group, to Ehra Madrigal, Cristine Reyes, Bianca King, and Carlo Antonio Cannu but I could not verify if they were able to join the party.
A week earlier, on the night of 15th of December, Angel had a sleepover too with Bubbles, Carla and Bianca King. They had a champorado for breakfast. It is cute to note that they have pet names also for each other with Angel as 'Ms. Random', Carla as 'Snow White' and Bianca as 'Direk' and I guess Bubbles as 'Party Queen'. On the 20th of December, Angel met with Maxene, Bubbles, Cristine Reyes, Bianca King, Allan and James. I was not able to trace what was the met up for. On the night of the 26th of December, Angel watched the Avatar movie in Mall of the Emirates with apl.de.ap of Black Eyed Peas, Bubbles, Bianca, Cannu, Frank Magalona, Isabella Magalona, Wincy Aquino, and Allan Altera. I saw this picture posted in ARep but I could not remember now who posted it originally. Anyway, thanks to the poster and the owner. The following day, Angel's gang went for a two days retreat at a beach in Batangas the following day together with Bubbles, Allan, Canu, Chito and Lani. They had lunch at Andok's in Cavite on their way to Batangas. As I understand from their tweets, they have no access to phone and wifi the whole time so they tweeted like crazy when they came back hehe. Thanks to Bubbles for this picture, which she shared in Twitter.

Bubbles also shared that they brought food enough for them for a week but they finished overnight. They had so much fun with their retreat but they could hardly wait for a signal on their way back. On the first of January, Allan, Bianca, Chito, and Lani paid Angel a visit at her house. I guess to watch a movie but I am not really sure and I could not recall now where I heard that info. We had our christmas party sa Ignazia Bar ...Then we had some exchange gifts worth 200 pesos each... Syempre I saw most of angel republic and twilight members there..And also ALIFC and The Originals ...Gel was wearing a backless stripes blouse ..but she has a net type black blazer to cover it
When i arrived there ...i saw bez jane, sis dred, sis lady gel, sis luz, mareng cha, sis kysle, sis myla, sis bluebaby , sis alma , si honey sandara kim and group, si spice and gelek ...we are all in one table ...Gel was with the other table ..together with her ate ella, brother gelo, ALIFC headed by claire and The Originals headed by Grace ...meron pang umatend pero di ko kakilala ....heheheheh
Syempre when i arrived kinamusta ko agad ang mga ka twilight angels natin together with arep ...then si sis myla and sis bluebaby of luckygels ..i asked them kung may pic na sila with gel ..sabi nila wala pa..kaya sabi ko approach namin si gel ..when we approached gel..she greeted me agad...she asked me kung kamusta nah... syempre sabi ko ok naman...then i introduced sis bluebaby from luckygels..i told gel that they had their outreach the previous day...nakipagkwentuhan si gel kay bluebaby about the relief mission...
Naputol lang yun kwentuhan kaze niyaya ni Grace si gel kumanta sa harap...hehehhee..kakatuwa...kumanta si gel ng one of her favorite song " SIGE"...syempre after nun eh nag request ang mga fans ng isa pa...sabi ni gel before sya kumanta "WALANG IWANAN ha"...hehehehe...baka kaze mawalan daw sya ng fans pag kumanta sya...hehehehehe..kalowka ...In fairness....Nag improve ang voice ni gel..although i feel na medyo d pa sya ganun ka confident kumanta...pero guys in all fairness.... nasa tono sya with her soft voice...di kaze natin sya nakikitang kumanta ng live..so i never thought that she has a good voice....super cute talaga....she sang "TORETE"....
After kumanta ni gel..we apprached her again...i have sis rossmyla with me...and also blue baby..i introduced sis myla to gel..i told her that sis myla is from luckygels and twilight angels...then nag chat din sila ni gel..pinakita ni sis myla yun mga pictures nila nun outreach..natuwa naman si gel...
Gel invited luckygels, twilight angels and arep for a merienda today...gusto kaze ni gel na mawala ang gap between luckygels and arep...which is a good move to unite her fans...not sure kung natuloy...syempre after ng kwentuhan, nagpa picture si sis myla with gel..syempre ako sin at si sis blue baby..heheheheh
I received another fan account but it was shared to me through a private message so I guess I cannot post it here in the blog. I am glad to know that Angel has invited the Luckgels to attend the party through a direct message.

I found a nice fan video in youtube created by a ChardGel (a nick for the tandem of Richard Gutierrez and Angel Locsin) fan. For the information of readers who are not yet aware of it, there is an ongoing petition for a ChardGel reunion. Although I have not watched any of their movies and shows, I am aware that this tandem is one of the best love teams in the Showbiz history. I am not sure if others will object to my last statement. I guess I am a bit biased because I am an avid supporter of Angel :).
Anyway for ChardGel fans, they may find it interesting that after creating the petition for a reunion, Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez both got mentioned in New York Times. Perhaps this is a good omen that their wish will be granted very soon.

We are still on could nine not only as fans of Angel Locsin but for making our country takes pride on Angel's achievement. Being nominated by a prestigious award giving body is an achievement by itself more so if such institution is revered internationally like International Emmy Awards. I am sure by now, all Filipinos who have access to entertainment media have heard of her Emmy nomination.
As I was reading the posts in arep in pex, i found several noteworthy congratulatory posts on Angel's Emmy nomination. Since I can not repost all of them here, I have chosen sis jais post (hikari177) because I found it touching and it mirrored my reaction when I first heard the news. Here's her post:

Angel Locsin fans club headed by Angel Republic successfully had their first relief mission yesterday October 04 in Novaliches near riverbank. It was reported that some of these families suffered from flood above rooftop level and lost some of their love one's too.
AREP fund drive initiated by Marifaye and Charmz to help Ondoy's victim reaches more than P50,000 in cash coming mostly from the Angel Locsin TFC fans in less than a week. AREP packed more than 400 relief packages which includes 3 kilos of rice,canned goods, coffee , noodles and mineral water.
Feeding program headed by Elena through Gloria's Lugaw fed almost 1000 people together with the volunteers. Aside from their special lugaw, she and her families also provided sago't gulaman for drinks. Angel Locsin International fans club led by Irene also provided medicines and vitamins to the victims that made this relief mission a complete package.
Although Ms Angel Locsin was not able to join the relief mission as she was also busy with Red Cross another relief operation in Marikina, she didn't fail to show her support as she sent more than 400 juice drinks and cup cakes for the victims.
There was a pile as early as 2pm. The joy and excitement was very evident from these people faces. Through the guidance of Angel's ate Ella and cousins, the relief mission was done in order and goods were distributed successfully.
Most volunteers fell into tears as they felt and saw how these people suffer by losing all their properties and family member's brought by the Typhoon Ondoy. Through the darkest moment of their lives they felt the comfort of angels in disguise through the volunteers and those people who extend their hand to help. The fulfillment and realization from these experience is truly incomparable and eye opener.
Angel Locsin becomes an inspiration to all Angel Republic members as she shares her blessings to those in need. This social act won't be the last but the first of more hundred projects of Angel Republic as we share Angel Locsin advocacy on generosity and pro people.
The fans of Angel Locsin in pinoyexchange.com forum in Angel Republic's (AREP) thread have collected P50,018 in cash to-date on their fund drive for the Typhoon Ondoy's victims. Other fans have also donated medicines and groceries as well as their time in doing volunteer work for the victims. The collected cash will be used in buying rice and bottled water for 400 families.
As earlier reported, Angel Locsin organized a relief operation together with ABS-CBN stars in Payatas on 28th of Sept 2009 (click here for the story). The second relief operation of Angel Locsin this time with her fans will be conducted later, 4th of Oct 2008.
