[Photos] Angel Locsin at Us Girls' ICON Awarding Ceremony

Photos of Angel Locsin receiving the Icon of the Year trophy at Us Girls' Style and Fashion Awards night on 19th of August began to surface yesterday.  This is the second annual Us Girls' Style and Fashion Awards and its telecast will be aired on the 29th at 6:30 PM on Studio 23.

Us Girls is the leading lifestyle magazine show and the 2009 Golden Dove Awards winner for Best TV Magazine Program with hosts Angel Aquino, Chesca Garcia-Kramer and Iya Villania.  Watch out for official photos from the awards night that will be posted at Us Girls' Facebook fan page and Multiply site. Trivia.  Angel was wearing a Christian Louboutin's peep-toe leopard print pumps, which was spotted being worn also by Television personality Kim Kardashian.  Click here to view the photo.  Angel was also seen wearing this pair of Louboutin when she was interviewed in The Buzz last month.  Click our story here.

Angel Locsin Receives her Icon of the Year Trophy

Angel Locsin receives her Icon of the Year trophy last night at the annual Us Girls Fashion and Style Awards held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Makati city.  The iEmmy nominated for best actress was unanimously chosen by the Us Girls staff because of Angel's commendable achievement in the entertainment industry and humanitarian works.  To read more on the commendation heaped by Angel's co-celebrities and Us Girls hosts, visit PEP here.  There will be a telecast of the awards night on Studio 23 at Us Girls show, which will be aired next Sunday, 29th of August at 6:30 P.M.

Angel Locsin is Icon of the Year in Us Girls Awards

iEmmy-nominated for best actress Angel Locsin has been chosen as recipient of the "Icon Award" in "Us Girls August Awards 2010".  Sunstar reported that Angel was chosen by staff of the premiere lifestyle program because of  her multiple commercial endorsements, big television projects, and her involvement in helping fellow Filipinos.

Angel is a known supporter of women's rights group Gabriela, rallies for children orphaned by the conflict in Mindano, and has organized last year the Shop and Share online auction of co-celebrities prized possession raising one million pesos to help the victims of  typhoon Ondoy in addition to her personal time she dedicated to personally help out the typhoon victims as well as her own expensive bags she included for charity auction, and money she anonymously donated, which was later discovered amounting to six hundred thousand pesos.  Click here to check out our previous blogs on Angel's humanitarian causes and here for Angel's activities during typhoon Ondoy.

[Awards] Angel Locsin Receives Award for Lobo in Malacanang Today

Angel Locsin along with Direk Cathy Garcia Molina received the Ani ng Dangal for Multimedia Award from NCAA (National Commission for Culture and the Art's) for Lobo today in Malacanang Palace's Rizal Hall. President Gloria Arroyo has been reported here to grace the affair to honor Filipino artists for upholding Filipino artistic excellence in the international stage.

As we previously reported here, Lobo won in 2009 Banff Word Television Festival in Canada and Angel Locsin earned an international recognition from Emmy awards as one of the 4 Best Actress finalists for her lead role in Lobo (The Wolf). Lobo has won also several awards locally.


The 2nd "Ani ng Dangal Awards" is organized by the NCAA in line with the celebration of the National Arts Month this February, as per Presidential Proclamation 683 of 1991.
