“Imortal” lead star Angel Locsin lauded co-actress Niña Dolino for her exemplary portrayal of Taong Lobo heiress Clarisse Zaragosa.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Locsin said there is no other artist who could portray such a daring and strong role except Dolino.
"Si Niña, sobrang effective (ang character). Sabi ko nga, 'Hoy, hindi ka pa ba nahahampas ng payong?' Sabi niya, 'Hindi pa, hindi pa,'“ said Locsin.
Locsin also revealed her co-star’s dedication to her work and her professionalism which she admires most about Dolino.
“Napaka-focused niya kapag sa set. Nagbabasa lagi. Sabi ko sa kanya, 'Hoy, bakit ang tahimik mo?' Tapos sasabihin niya, 'Kailangan ko kasing mag-memorize nito,” Locsin added.
The Philippines’ sexiest also divulged that she and Dolino have a good friendship in and outside the set after realizing that they share the same interests.
“Hindi naman siya mataray. Sa totoong buhay ay napakabait ni Niña. Makulit siya, parang de-pitik ang babae na iyon. Pagtapos mag-roll ng camera ay nagta-transform,” she said.
Locsin also believes that Dolino's character in "Imortal" is a big break for her.
"Yes, yes, masasabi ko at karapat-dapat. Sobrang bagay din siya sa character,” Locsin ended.
