Imortal emerges victorious on its debut

I had expected high numbers for Imortal on its debut in ABS-CBN Primetime.  I am happy to report that Imortal emerged victorious by getting the top spot based on overnight ratings of AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households with 15.1% (Grazilda in GMA-7, 11.2%). Imortal also beats rival show, Grazilda, based on overnight survey of Kantar Media/TNS among National households with 34.4% (Grazilda in GMA-7, 22.7%).

Imortal has been a trending topic (ranked 2nd) for 5 days now in Yahoo Philippines.  Imortal was also a trending topic worldwide (ranked 9th) in Twitter last night towards the latter part of its airing of 2nd episode in ABS-CBN.

We can say that Imortal is the most anticipated and biggest TV series of the year and it exceeded our expectation.  Hope ABS-CBN maintains the high quality till the end of the show.  I am now looking  forward to the explosive chemistry on screen of Angel Locsin as 'Lia Ortega' and John Lloyd Cruz as 'Mateo Rodriguez', which I heard will appear in the story as adults this week.
