Update on Imortal of Angel Locsin

I am happy to see that ABS-CBN is making noise again for the much anticipated upcoming TV series, Imortal, of iEmmy-nominated for best actress, Angel Locsin, and John Lloyd Cruz.  Mico del Rosario, who handles promo for Star Cinema's shows and movies, shared the following information in Twitter today:

Lahat ng nangungulit sken sa #imortal eto na guys: maghanda kayo may bago kaming pasabog. mahahappy kayo.  - about 5 hours ago

Naku guys, di muna kami maglalabas ng teaser ng #imortal pero pag naglabas kami baka kayo na ang hindi makahinga. Hehehe. Anyways, stay updates sa mga interviews nina @143redangel, lloydi and the rest of the cast in the coming weeks. at pag may events kami I'm expecting u guys to come ok?   - about 4 hours ago

About the last tweet, I suppose Angel's official fans clubs (ALIFC and ADOLFC) will facilitate the coordination with fans who will attend events Mico has mentioned.  Do they have enough number of members who can readily make themselves available to go to those events?  Frankly, I am clueless.  What I am sure of, Angel has a broad range of fans but at this point, the consolidation of different fans groups still needs to  be improved and I do wish it will happen very soon.

My thoughts:


Why did I say making noise again?  If you recall, the trailer of Imortal was released by ABS-CBN through Facebook on the 22nd of June.  Mico tweeted on the 8th of July about the presentation he conducted for ABS CBN's campaign strategy for Imortal.  Pictorial was held on the same day by Angel, John Lloyd and the rest of the cast.  This pictorial was featured on that night at SNN (Showbiz News Ngayon).  For those who missed it, click here and here's the screen caps:

After more than a week of getting featured in ABS CBN's entertainment shows and news portals, things suddenly became quiet with regards to Imortal.  I have my own thoughts about why ABS-CBN has suddenly started plugging about a new show that has barely started taping.  The abrupt silence on Imortal did not escape the notice of fans who made noise and expressed their displeasure with ABS-CBN through Twitter and e-mails.





What's ABS-CBN's reason for the delay?  You may take it at face value or have your own conclusion.  Mico mentioned about difficulty of special effects and execution of stunts.  But then, why can't ABS CBN provide a specific airing date?  That's a big question!


Anyway, I don't want to rant here because there are other venues for that.  What I would suggest is for you angels to start showing your support by going to Imortal related sites such as ABS-CBN's official fan page for Imortal in Faceboook here and official fan page of LloydieGel (John Lloyd and Angel) in Facebook here.  The more number of fans that like these fan pages, the better.  

Join also the forum discussion on Imortal at PEx here because staff and writers of ABS-CBN are known to check out and sometimes join the discussion in this forum.  More number of posts and views in sites I mentioned mean numerous number of fans are very eager in watching this show.
