Angel Locsin's Movie in KMF Rules the Rating Game

Tonight, please watch out for Angel Locsin's own produced and starred movie, "Angels", at 10:30 PM in SNBO in GMA-7 network.


Have you noticed that Angel's old movies are getting featured by GMA-7 network more frequently recently?  The last featured movie of Angel and Richard Gutierrez, I Will Always Love You, in Kapuso Movie Festival at GMA-7 Network on 10th August ruled the rating game against its rival show in ABS CBN, "Showtime".

Here's the comparative household ratings:

Kantar Media (formerly TNS) among national households:  Kapuso Movie Festival: I will Always Love You (GMA-7) 16.5%; Showtime (ABS-CBN) 7.9%.

AGB Nielsen among Mega Manila households:  Kapuso Movie Festival: I will Always Love You (GMA-7) 7.1%; Showtime (ABS-CBN) 3.8%.

The featured movie topped the daytime programs among national households based on Kantar Media survey and came second among Mega Manila households based on AGB Nielsen Survey.


It is a good development getting to see Angel's old movies since this is our chance to see her in our TV screen while waiting for the telecast of her much anticipated TV series, Imortal.  I hope GMA-7 would consider as well showing a re-run of her old TV shows like Mulawin, Darna, Majika, Asian Treasures, Click and other old shows since I came to watch only her shows when she transferred in ABS CBN.

Angel Locsin in The Buzz

Angel Locsin looked uber gorgeous and sexy when she guested live earlier, July 4, in 'The Buzz' 11th Anniversary presentation to talk about the many blessings coming her way.

Angel looks hot in this photo taken in ABS-CBN; credit to Pam Quinones's Twitter who was Angel's stylist on that day, make up done by Nante Alingasa, and hair by Robbie Pinera.


Sexiest Woman. After five years, Angel regained her title as the Sexiest Woman based on a survey conducted by a popular men's magazine, winning over stars like Marian Rivera and Angel's own friend, Cristine Reyes, who previously won the title. Winning this title got Angel featured in GMA's Chika Minute segment in "24 Oras", which rarely happened. I was told that in recent GMA 60th presentation, Angel's name was never mentioned when the network listed its hit TV series in the past. GMA last mentioned Angel in its news report when CNN hero Efren Peñaflorida's publicly expressed his intention to court Angel. Click HERE for our related story.

After the interview of Angel Locsin in the Buzz on the 3rd of this month, the courtship of CNN hero Efren Peñaflorida became a hot topic in media, news prints, and Internet’s blogs & forums. What interest me more is the lifting of news blackout on Angel by her former station, GMA Network. Angel's supporters got a big surprise on the news reported by GMA's 'Chika Minute', '24 Oras' and Saksi. That’s BIG news indeed!

My search of videos from the site of GMA News TV revealed that except for this week's report on Angel, the GMA Network reported Angel-related news 870 days ago.



Let's hope that this week's report on Angel by GMA Network is only a beginning and not an exception. Here's the tweet sent by Kapuso7 to Angel last month.

SNN reported on the 7th the video interview of Angel talking about the courtship of Efren, communication with Luis again, and Chito Miranda of 'Parokya ni Edgar' as merely a friend. News this week is not all about Angel's suitors. As shown above by TV Patrol on the 6th, Angel looks gorgeous at the teaser pictorial for Kokey@Ako. Angel mentioned in The Buzz interview that there is no definite date for the airing of the show.
