Hale's Magkaibang Mundo Music Video feat. Angel Locsin

I have been waiting for a couple of weeks for the upload of Hale's "Magkaibang Mundo" music video featuring iEmmy-nominated Angel Locsin. Many thanks to Champ of Hale for finally giving us a chance to view this beautiful MV.




Many fans have commented in Twitter that Champ has the potential to become one of Angel's leading man. For our regular readers in 'Angeladik's Corner', you know already that 'angeladik' and I' do agree that Champ has the looks, built, and charisma for that role. I do hope to see them again together in a project. At present, "Magkaibang Mundo" is at number 6 at MYX Countdown dated July 17-July 23, 2010 and number 13 at MYX Hit Chart dated July 18-July 24, 2010.

This is unconfirmed so please don't quote me. I heard that "Magkaibang Mundo" is the official OST for Imortal TV series of Angel and John Lloyd Cruz. However when I tweeted someone from ABS CBN, I did not receive a confirmation.

Hale Releases New Music Video Featuring Angel Locsin

I found this article of MYX Philippines so I am posting this blog to update my previous story on Hale's latest music video here. According to the article:

The song, "Magkaibang Mundo" is about "recollecting past memories and rekindling precious moments of a past love. Wondering what life would have been if fate had gone in a different path. The person struggles to move on and cannot deny the passion he has for the other,” Champ says. "In the end, love prevails, hope will rise. But it might just be a little too late.”

Watch Out for Hale's New MTV feat. Angel Locsin

The teaser of Hale's MTV featuring Angel Locsin for the song 'Magkaibang Mundo' is finally out. Video credit to Nani Naguit's Facebook.

'Magkaibang Mundo' is the newest song of Hale from its fourth album, Kundiman. Hale is a multi-awarded alternative rock band that debuted in 2005 and comprised of Champ Lui Pio, Roll Martinez, Sheldon Gellada, and Paolo Santiago. Hale's self-titled debut album received a triple platinum award in 2006.

This song was written by Champ, Hale's vocalist, who is also featured in this MTV along with Angel. Click here to listen to the entire song and here for the lyrics. Personally, I enjoyed listening to this song over and over while writing this blog.

After viewing the teaser, what do you have in mind about the story? To help you out, here are the screen caps.

It looks like Angel caught the attention of Champ in this frame during a high-powered business meeting.


I suppose since Angel here is looking at the file cabinet herself, she is not part of the management team. It looks like the concept here is: a pretty administration assistant (secretary) catching the admiration of a successful young professional.

The teaser receives positive response from the Twitter world when Champ posted the link of the teaser in his Twitter account. Through Twitter, he replied to my queries that he, Angel and some friends had advance screening of the MTV on the 5th and Angel was super happy.


You may wonder when did Angel had time doing this MTV since she has a full schedule taping for her upcoming TV series, Imortal and shooting a movie with Aga Mulach. This MTV was shot on the 20th of June with Bianca King doing Angel's make up and also acted as stylist. As I understand, Bianca is a good friend of Champ and she also directed Hale's previous MTV featuring Heart Evangelista. The Paraiso siblings, Bubbles and Paolo, kept Angel company during the shoot and perhaps had a cameo role as well. Champ had only good words about Angel after the shoot. According to him, Angel is so nice and a real Angel. For us fans, we are no longer surprised because all people who had worked with Angel had only good words about her who despite of her superstar status has remained humble and down-to-earth.

[Video] Angel Locsin, A Beautiful Girl

We all know that Angel is very beautiful but I cannot resist using this very apt title when I learned that she is featured in the music video for the song, Beautiful Girl, of Asia's pop idol and romantic balladeer Christian Bautista. The song is a revival of the hit love song of Jose Mari Chan in the '80s and was also used as a title in the movie starred by Gretchen Barreto.

Other lovely ladies featured in Christian's MTV are Anne Curtis and top models Georgina Wilson and Solenn Heusaff. The single will be launch in two weeks and the album will be released late of January. Christian's songs are also popular in Indonesia and he is set to conquer the international scene. I heard some talk that this MTV will be shown also outside Philippines. I hope this is true.

The MTV shoot was done on the 6th at the Atrium of Eastwood Mall along with Liz Uy, I suppose as a stylist, and Treb Monteras as the director. I found this photo from Georgina's tweet taken after wrapping up the shoot, so love Angel's projection here. As my fave chat mate, angeladik, has mentioned, Angel has mastered the skill in projection and I definitely agree.
